DJAKARTA WAREHOUSE PROJECT 2016
Garuda Stage (Main)
Djakarta Warehouse Project 2016
Since it's a lazy midweek and the rain isn't helping me being productive,
let's do a short recap on last week's Asia's major EDM Event: Ismaya Live's DWP.
This event is held every year, bringing in top international artists such as Martin Garrix, Alan Walker, DJ Snake and on and on and on.
The Lineup change every year, of course.
This year is my first DWP since I have only been back to Indo for over a year now.
A few friends decided to go and they went before so I was like, why not?
DWP sounds like a good idea to spend the long weekend with friends
and let loose!
The stress from adulthood is really building up recently ;(
So as someone who has never been to DWP before,
I was honestly pretty worried with the security at first.
I mean, this is Indonesia!
I been to rave party in the USA, I am naaaht worried with drunkards whatnots,
I am worried I might get bombed! D;
But as we entered the venue on day 1, we went through layers of checks.
The first one was to check our bracelet/tag on the main gate,
and then another check as you enter the hall.
They also gave you transparent plastic bags to place all your belongings and empty your bag
and then get them scanned before you placed them back into your bag.
There were a lot of people in there!
There are 3 stages playing at the same time with 3 different DJs.
2 of them are indoor while the main Garuda stage is outdoor.
So we came in at about 10PM on day 1 and we went to Neon Jungle stage to watch Alan walker.
Ermm, people were sweating and pushing so you can barely dance and jump;/
So I backed out to get some drinks with my friends and some air!
We were trying to meet another group of friends who were in the VIP
so we waited at the door only to realize that the girls in their group are drunk-.-
It was like, midnight? And we have like til 4 AM HAHAHA.
Anw so I think I kinda lost the rest somehow.
I was just sitting around until eventually everyone is seated. I guess everyone got tired in the end.
So then we went back to the main stage
I do not fancy the idea of squeezing with sweating people and being pushed around really
maybe this isn't for me? hahahah.
Day 1 was not too bad though, after some beer to quench the thirst, we went back up to watch Martin Garrix.
It was sucking so much energy that we closed the night with porridge!
Day 2
Day 2 was tooooo crowded
there were about 90,000 people in the venue
there were 13 of us and we pushed thru to the middle
it was so hard to leave because we were in the middle of the sea of people
Even to get drink was tough.
So our friends got something for us in the end. yay!
they went pass the sea of people for us<3
Anyway, the DJ was so good! We were so hyped up when W.W was playing
The international people were nice and friendly in general
so you can actually form bigger group or just have fun together.
On the other hand, the locals were more reserved and tend to stick to their own group.
It was a great night and a memorable one.
The ending to the night shall remain in my head to remember.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience.
Will I come again?
I don't know. I feel like my body is too old for this.
Ciao!
